LAKE MARY, FL – When it comes to relationships between the golf media and golf businesses at a trade show, it is always the media who are visiting exhibits manned by various golf companies, trying to gather material, do interviews or discuss partnerships.
On opening night at the 21st ING Spring Conference May 22-26 at Innisbrook Resort, the tables will literally be turned.
The inaugural ING Media Expo will help kick off this annual gathering of media and golf industry leaders, conducted by the non-profit International Network Of Golf.
The ING Spring Conference is open to anyone in the golf industry or media, and approximately 175 people are expected to attend. For more information or to register, visit www.inggolf.com.
The Media Expo will be part of a revamped Sunday Night at the ING Spring Conference. Magazines, media websites and TV and radio shows will receive complimentary tabletop display space to show their materials, samples and more. Attendees from the business side of the industry will wander though the Expo in an informal setting, visiting with the media representatives and learning about the various outlets that could loom as partner prospects.
The only requirement to earn free table space for media outlets is that they be registered for the ING Spring Conference. Registration fee is as little as $125. The Media Expo is open from 7 to 9 pm during the Opening Night Reception at the ING Spring Conference.
Innisbrook Resort is hosting the conference, marking only the second time that the ING Spring Conference has been held in Florida. Innisbrook is also host to the PGA Tour’s Transitions Championship, set for March 17-20.
Among the companies and organizations already registered for the conference are TaylorMade-adidas Golf, Razor Golf, PowerBilt Golf, CertiFresh Cigar, EWGA, Jan Bel Jan Golf Course Design, Ron Garl Golf Course Design and Golf For Cause.
The conference also includes a revised educational format, featuring ActionCOACH as the workshop facilitator. There will also be tremendous networking opportunities, product displays and tests, and lots of golf. The very popular ING One-On-One Appointment Show will return to the itinerary. The appointment show provides attendees a platform for private meetings to encourage business relationships.
