‘The hottest shafts in golf’ wins wood & hybrid shaft counts for 7th week in a row on PGA Tour
POWAY, Calif. – Aldila’s Micro Laminate Technology was instrumental for both winners on the PGA Tour this past weekend. The winner of the World Golf Championships – Accenture Consulting Match Play Championship, featuring the top 64 players in the world, posted his first victory in the U.S. in five years with the help of Aldila’s NV shaft.
At the Mayakoba Golf Classic, the champion picked up his second win on the Tour by winning on the first hole of a sudden death playoff with the help of Aldila’s NV shaft. The second place finisher played Aldila’s latest RIP Technology in his Driver.
“Aldila has developed three patented shaft design technologies that continue to prove themselves week after week on the PGA Tour,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The three technologies, Micro Laminate (MLT), Stabilized Core (S-core) and Reverse Interlaminar Placement (RIP) each offer players of all abilities optimum performance to maximize the potential of their individual swing.”
MLT is designed using ultra thin layers of premium aerospace graphite that are matched with a proprietary thin profile shaft design that eliminate ‘dead zones’ in the shaft for precise feel. S-core Technology™ provides the golfer with stability through an innovative design incorporating a one-piece carbon fiber rib system. This helps the shaft stay more concentric during the golf swing thereby transferring maximum energy. RIP Technology™ transforms the shaft from the inside out providing players with shot control. RIP shafts offer golfers lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control.
“The Hottest Shaft In Golf” maintained their status as the #1 shaft on the PGA Tour by winning the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts for the seventh consecutive week. Aldila had 10 more wood shafts and nearly double the amount of hybrid shafts in play at the Mayakoba Classic than their next closest competitor, according to the Darrell Survey.
The Most Accurate Driver at the Mayakoba Classic played Aldila’s RIP in his Driver. He finished the tournament with an overall driving accuracy percentage of 87.5 percent, which was well ahead of the Tour’s current average of 60.91 percent.
Aldila is continually on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
