THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. – PowerBilt is pleased to support the New England PGA section with its New England PGA Junior Tour by assisting the HB Foundation Scholarship Program. In an effort to recognize children that participate in the New England PGA Junior Tour, college scholarships will be awarded to junior golfers based on their playing ability, academics, citizenship (community activities), and extra-curricular activities (additional school activities)
The HB Foundation’s priority is to grow the game of golf while using the game to enhance the quality of life. Working directly with local junior programs the HB Foundation can assist in golf programs that teach core values such as honesty, integrity, respect, self-assurance, courtesy, and perseverance. Through the scholarships the HB Foundation will assist eligible junior golfers with their high education costs.
PowerBilt Golf is looking forward to working with Junior Tours and partners that have contributed to their local market. “Powerbilt is excited to have the opportunity to help grow the game of golf and assist junior golfers with their higher education costs. We have set out to develop a community driven program and the New England PGA Section is an outstanding partner to develop these programs,” says PowerBilt President Ross Kvinge.
The scholarships administered through the HB Foundation will be awarding five (5) scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each this year to graduating seniors and students currently attending college that are members of the New England PGA Junior Tour. Interested applicants can download an application and get more information by going to www.nepgajuniortour.com or The HB Foundation site @ www.thehbfoundation.org.
The New England PGA Junior Tour is entering its 17th season of providing quality golf events for developing junior golfers in New England. With more than 60 events every summer, there is always room to play on the tour. The New England PGA Junior Tour is open to all junior amateurs who live in the jurisdiction of the New England PGA from the ages of 9-21.
