Alexandria, VA – March 3, 2011 – The Club Managers Association of America announced today that it has named 46 new Certified Club Managers. This number represents a particularly large class of managers to receive this designation. By achieving the CCM designation, these club managers are recognized for their expertise in and commitment to the club industry.
“I am immensely pleased that so many club management professionals made a statement regarding their commitment to professional development by gaining their CCM,” said CMAA CEO Jim Singerling, CCM, CEC. “I commend each of these individuals for doing their part to advance the quality of their profession and to enhance the perception of club managers.”
The CCM designation has been the hallmark of professionalism in club management since 1965 and is the cornerstone of CMAA’s member recognition program. It is a valuable and widely-respected mark of a manager’s commitment to professional development and the club industry. Achieving the designation requires that an eligible club management professional pass the CCM exam. To become eligible to take the CCM exam, a club management professional must meet a number of requirements designed to demonstrate superior experience and knowledge in the field.
