Inverness Country Club in Birmingham, Ala., and Tonto Verde Golf Club in Rio Verde, Ariz., beat out a strong pool of candidates for Golf Inc.’s annual Clubhouse of the Year competition in the respective New Clubhouse and Remodel/Renovation categories.
Each category honored a first, second and third place finisher. Golf Inc. will showcase the 2010 winners in the upcoming Spring issue of Golf Inc. magazine.
“This year’s entrants were the epitome of distinctive architectural expression,” said Katina Cavagnaro, publisher of Golf Inc. Magazine. “The honorees stood above a very strong crowd with both modern and traditional styles.”
Inverness Country Club, designed by Chambers, was honored as the winner in the New Clubhouse category. Second place went to Escena Golf Club in Palm Spring, Calif., designed by Douglas Fredrickson Architects, Inc., and Emiko Design.
