PALM HARBOR, FL – First impressions are often lasting impressions, according to that old adage. So the International Network Of Golf’s conference committee and staff are taking no chances on the validity of that belief.
A revised and energetic first-day schedule awaits attendees of the 21st Annual ING Spring Conference at Innisbrook Resort May 22-26.
The ING Spring Conference is open to anyone in the golf industry or media, and approximately 175 people are expected to attend. For more information or to register, visit www.inggolf.com.
This annual gathering of golf media and golf industry leaders will open with a bang on Sunday, May 22 with four new or revised functions. First up is the ING Icebreaker Skills Challenge starting a 3:15 p.m. Competitors will play a nine-hole skills challenge, testing various golf skills and their sense of humor.
Next up is the Conference Orientation at 7 p.m., during which attendees will receive tips on how to make the best of their conference experience, and learn about various ING committees, events and member benefits.
The new Golf Media Expo follows from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., during the Innisbrook Opening Night Reception. Representatives from golf publications, shows and Internet sites will be displaying material during this tabletop expo.
At 9 p.m., ING will introduce its new networking session – SpeedING – during which attendees will get to know each other in a quick-fire format that is bound to create some memorable moments. Day One officially closes when ClubING, the nightly watering hole, opens at 9:30 p.m.
The ING Spring Conference has a schedule featuring something for everyone. Companies that sell golf equipment or training aids will have their products tested by attending media at the Demo Lab. And all companies have a chance to take a display table in the One-On-One Appointment Show, which provides attendees a platform for private meetings to encourage business relationships.
The conference also includes a revised educational format, featuring ActionCOACH as the workshop facilitator. There will also be tremendous networking opportunities, product displays and tests, and lots of golf, including the World Qualifier for the International Pairs on Monday.
Nationally known TV personality Michelle Phillips is the keynote speaker, and veteran rock star Jimi Jamison will perform a concert on Tuesday night that is free to all attendees.
