Alexandria, VA – March 17, 2011 – The Club Managers Association of America, in conjunction with experts from the Golf Environment Organization, has released a Sustainability Manual to assist clubs in embracing a green approach to club operations.
The Sustainability Manual is a streamlined, practical resource designed to help club management professionals plan, execute and record environmental improvements appropriate for their club. Presented in a clear framework, this guide will help clubs in planning and identifying opportunities for resource reduction and presents guidance and practical ideas relating to the physical club components and infrastructure.
“CMAA understands that every individual in every corner of every property must comprehend our impact on our natural resources. A quality environment is part of a quality product and resource efficiency is a key component of profitability,” commented CMAA Chief Executive Officer Jim Singerling, CCM, CEC. “In today’s environment, this resource is a ‘must read’ for all club management professionals.”
