Professional golfers, celebrities, and businessmen will join the Black Knight to help raise funds for underprivileged children
Palm Beach, Florida, USA, 17 March 2011 – Black Knight International, in conjunction with The Player Foundation, will host the US leg of the Gary Player Invitational Series of charity golf tournaments from 10-11 April, 2011 at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. This year’s event will be an intimate gathering of top professional golfers, celebrities and business people in a Pro-Am event raising funds for underprivileged children’s education.
“There are so many children all over the world who need access to a quality education, nutritional programs, fitness, and especially a safe and loving environment in which to grow. Helping to raise funds for these kids is vitally important to their future and we as a society must do whatever we can.” said Gary Player.
“When the opportunity arose to stage this year’s GPI at Champions Retreat in Augusta we jumped at it. 2011 marks the 50th anniversary of my father’s first Masters victory in 1961 and being able to celebrate such an important milestone in his career in concurrence with such an important charitable effort is something we just could not pass up.” said Marc Player, CEO of Black Knight International.
“The timing and location are just perfect because so many of our friends and corporate partners will already be in town for The Masters. We are looking forward to a very successful event and hope to make the GPI in Augusta a yearly tradition.” he added.
