Singapore (March 24): The 2011 Asia Pacific Golf Summit is picking up tremendous speed as more top international golf personalities sign up to speak at the region’s leading knowledge-based golf business conference.
The latest sign-ups include:
* John Kawaja – Executive Vice President, TaylorMade-adidas Golf.
* Ed LeBeau – Founder and President, Heartland Golf Schools, St. Louis, Missouri, Illinois.
* Terry Anton – President SNAG Golf.
“We are excited with the latest sign ons and we know that these are all very knowledgeable and spellbinding speakers who will make a huge contribution towards the success of our events,” declared Mike Sebastian, Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific Golf Group, the owner and producer of the 2011 Asia Pacific Golf Summit.
The Summit will kick-off a week-long series of conferences, exhibitions and tournaments and will be staged in the exotic beach resort city of Pattaya in Thailand from October 31 to November 6, 2011.
The appearance of John Kawaja at the Summit is a major development because it heralds the first time a top executive from the golf equipment industry has agreed to speak at the Summit. “This is truly a significant development because the time has come for the golf equipment manufacturers to take centre stage and tell golf course owners, operators, club managers etc about the efforts that they are making to grow the game of golf,” explained Sebastian.
Ed LeBeau, founder and President of The Heartland Golf Schools is another huge win for the Summit. LeBeau is a highly respected teacher in North America and this is what he said about his involvement with the Summit :”Golf instruction lags behind the rapid improvements in golf facilities and golf equipment.Improving golf instruction is critical to realizing the game’s growth potential.”
The other major golf luminary who will speak at the Summit is Terry Anton, President and co-founder of SNAG Golf – a highly revolutionary and proven system to teach children and adults how to play golf the fun way.
Anton is a pioneer in golf coaching and golf development. Recently, SNAG has signed on with the US National Recreation and Park Association to grow the game of golf through a national programme called G-Ball, to be rolled out in Parks and Recreation Facilities over the next few years. Imagine how many of these children will want to play golf for a lifetime.
“G-Ball will educate the next generation of golfers! Millions of children will learn to play golf in our parks! G-Ball will bring golf into mainstream team sports through Parks and Recreation Facilities. Golf, for the first time, will enter the team sport arena to be more competitive with all other sports,” declared Anton.
Anton has also partnered with The First Tee for many years. He has provided The First Tee with deep discounts on equipment, resulting in more than 4,000 elementary schools and the majority of the organization’s chapters using SNAG equipment for programming.
“Terry Anton’s passion and commitment has led to the growth of the game…”, said the First Tee.
