Scottsdale, AZ (March 24, 2011) – The Golf Channel’s hit reality show, THE BIG BREAK, will audition for the cast of its new season Monday, April 4th, at Corte Bella GC prior to tournament #10 on the GPT Arizona Series schedule.
Using Gateway Pro Tour once again to find its next crop of talent, The Golf Channel has found a lot of success in the past with GPT players finding TV fame, and this year looks to be no different.
“The list of current or former Gateway Pro Tour players who have competed on THE BIG BREAK is pretty impressive,” GPT Executive Director, Ryan Pray noted. “Even just in recognizing the winners of the show who’ve played our Tour, guys like Brian Kontak, Tommy Gainey and Mike Perez are the exact reason The Golf Channel likes to pick its cast from our players. We encourage all of our players to audition, and hopefully, again this year, some of our guys will have a great shot at moving their careers forward by winning a spot on the show.”
Golf Channel producers will be at Corte Bella from 9am – 5pm on Monday, April 4th, to audition all interested Gateway Pro Tour players. Players wanting an audition need to submit an application through The Golf Channel’s website by clicking HERE or print a completed application and bring it with them to Corte Bella on April 4th. Blank applications will be available on site for walk-ups.
