The MATRIX College Program Offers Support and Guidance to Aspiring Collegiate Golfers
ANAHEIM, Calif. – MATRIX Shafts is proud to announce their “MATRIX College Program” in support of collegiate golf athletes and students in attendance at nearly 20 different professional golf management colleges across the nation. This program was established to offer support to these student athletes as they learn the principles and skills needed to manage golf facilities, learn to become golf instructors, or apply their skills to any related organizations affiliated with the game of golf.
The MATRIX College Program is designed to provide a support system and assist these student athletes who aspire to pursue a career in the golf industry; whether it’s to become a professional golfer, or learn the various levels of management at golf facilities ranging from operations to customer service. One of the primary objectives of the program is to maintain a strong relationship with the student athletes and the participating programs by assisting them in any way possible to increase their opportunities of obtaining successful futures within the golf industry. This program also supports college golf teams as well. For any college that participates in the MATRIX College Program, they will receive discounts on any of our diverse product lines of shafts.
MATRIX International Sales Representative and College Liaison, Louise Skelly, has been a key contributor in the development of the MATRIX College Program. She understands that having a strong support system in place while attending a college golf program can equate to successful future careers in the golf industry. Skelly graduated with a degree in resort and hospitality management from the Florida Gulf Coast University. She has also become a PGA member and has experienced working as an intern at various golf venues such as Pebble Beach, Pinehurst and Tiburon Golf Club.
“If I would have had the opportunity to take advantage of the MATRIX College Program back when I was an aspiring college golfer, it would have enhanced my game dramatically,” said Skelly. “Once I became educated and was fitted with the proper equipment, my golf score dropped at least five or six strokes. I believe the MATRIX College Program will offer these student athletes the opportunity to better their game and establish a relationship with Matrix Shafts.”
