March 29, 2011: Sports radio & television personality Ann Liguori will be hosting The Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic on May 17th at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, NY. Sebonack Golf Club, situated near historic National Golf Links of America and Shinnecock Hills Golf Course, overlooks Long Island’s Great Peconic Bay and Cold Spring Pond. The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and Tom Doak. Sebonack Golf Club will host the 2013 U.S. Women’s Open.
The Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic is sold out. Tickets for the awards luncheon are still available. “We so appreciate the generosity of the golf world every year as we work together to raise money and awareness to fight cancer,” says Liguori, Founder of the Ann Liguori Foundation.
Proceeds raised will benefit the American Cancer Society and Healthy Children, Healthy Futures, teaching young people about good nutrition and fitness for over-all good health benefits. The Foundation supports ACS’s Camp Adventure on Shelter Island, a camp for children with cancer and their siblings. The ALF also supports nutrition education programs in middle schools throughout the East End of Long Island and nutrition education assemblies performed by nutritionist/musician Jill Jayne, MS RD, and her Nutrition Education Through Entertainment program.
