Marlborough, MA- At the mere mention of April the golf world turns its attention to the dramatic lead up to the Masters Championship where the world’s best will play the challenging course of Augusta National Country Club. Yet it would be hard to imagine missing out on the great competition prior to that major as in this week’s professional events on the PGA Tour at the Shell Houston Open and the European PGA Tour at the Trophy Hassan II.
Good news continues for The World Leader in Sport Cleat Technology® with the winner of both events playing in CHAMP spikes. The field at the Trophy Hassan II played in Agadir, Morocco recorded 72% competing in CHAMP spikes which finished with a three-man play-off, all three wearing the ScorpionSTINGER™. Of these statistics, seven of the top ten finishers were CHAMP wearers.
Similar results took place on U.S. soil as the winner of the Shell Houston Open also won playing in CHAMP spikes. The field playing at the Redstone Golf Club Tournament Course showed a strong participation of CHAMP spikes as well. With this win CHAMP spikes now has won 10 events on the PGA Tour in 2011.
