PHILADELPHIA (April 7, 2011) – Following the restaurant renaissance that has swept through the village of Skippack in recent years, Skippack GC at Evansburg State Park has opened its new Farm House Restaurant.
After a handsome renovation of the historic farm house that overlooks Zacharias Creek, Skippack has opened a restaurant under the direction of executive chef Jen Moyer Murphy. The restaurant will promote a menu of fresh, healthy, local items for both lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is one of casual refinement.
Owners Darryl and Travis Lock renovated the old farm house that used to house the pro shop and snack bar, before the new pro shop was built. The farm house now contains a state of the art kitchen, a handsome cocktail lounge and a cozy dining room with fireplace. A large patio that will feature outdoor dining and music in the summer surrounds the farm house.
Skippack GC will be featured on the Inside Golf television beginning Sunday, April 24. It will receive more exposure on Saturday, June 4 when a live remote broadcast of the GolfTalk Live radio show takes place.
