Players using SuperStroke putter grips finished T8th, T20th and T24th at the Masters Golf Tournament Sunday. Three oversized grips by SuperStroke Golf were in play at the Masters, making SuperStroke the #1 jumbo putter grips in play at Augusta National Golf Club.
T8th Place/#11 in Putting – KJ Choi played a SuperStroke putter grip in his second straight and third career Top 10 finish at the Masters. Choi, a SuperStroke staff player and winner of three PGA Tour events with a SuperStroke grip, placed T8th at the Masters with an 8-under par 280. It was his third Top 10 finish of the 2011PGA TOUR season. He ranked T11th in total putts for the event with his jumbo putter grip that measures 1.67 inches in diameter. Choi currently ranks 31st in the 2011 FedEx Cup standings and has earned $872,249 so far this season.
“I felt like I had a chance after the 15th, but then I had a bad shot on No. 17,” said Choi. “But Charl was so good today; it was his tournament to win. I’ve been so close to winning and I’m getting better. It seems so near. It was a good experience, and I’m looking forward to next year.”
T20th Place/#3 in Putting – The 20th place finisher, a former major winner, used a SuperStroke Slim grip en route to his second straight Top 20 finish at Augusta National. He ranked T3rd in putting with 111 total putts with the oversized grip designed to take the wrists out of the putting stroke and relieve tension in the hands. In eight events this year, the player has earned three Top 10 and four Top 25 finishes, all with a SuperStroke grip. The player ranks 22nd in the current FedEx Cup point standings and has already earned over $1.2 million in 2011.

The 12-time winner has been using the oversized grip since finishing 2nd at the 2010 Wyndham Championship. He currently ranks 53rd in the FedEx Cup standings.
