Famed Bay Course, home of the ShopRite LPGA Classic, & scenic Pines Course complete series of renovations designed to improve the championship golf experience at leading northeast resort
GALLOWAY, N.J. – April 12, 2011 – Seaview – A Dolce Resort, a Troon Golf-managed facility and one of the premier resort destinations in the Northeast, today announced the completion of the $1.4 million off-season capital improvement project.
As part of the resort’s overall multi-million dollar enhancement project, the famed Bay Course, home of the ShopRite LPGA Classic, as well as the popular Pines Course, underwent a series of refinements during the off-season, and golfers will now enjoy a new-look golf experience on two of Southern New Jersey’s and the Philadelphia-area’s most storied golf courses.
Highlighting the renovations to the Bay Course is a complete bunker restoration project, complemented by re-turfed fescue mounds along the fairways and an improved drainage system on select holes. The Pines Course also benefited from a bunker restoration; a cart path upgrade; and the removal of select trees throughout the course, designed to open up the fairways.
In addition to the on-course project work, the resort’s award-winning Golf Shop also received a facelift with new carpeting, fixtures and lighting, while the men’s and women’s locker rooms have also been refreshed with new wood lockers, carpeting, and showers.
“After the brutal winter in the Northeast, we are thrilled to reopen for the 2011 season, and showcase the new-look Seaview to golfers in the region,” said Kevin DeDonato, Director of Golf, Seaview Golf Resort.
Located just minutes from Atlantic City, Seaview’s unique and historical resort setting is home to 36 holes of Championship golf on two of New Jersey’s oldest and most prestigious golf courses.
