TORONTO – Hollas, an established apparel brand in the Canadian golf market, continues to build its presence in U.S. pro shops with significantly increased bookings for summer and fall.
The company has found a particular niche in offering a diverse product line that fits today’s stylish golfer both on and off the course. Specifically, the company has had very positive response to its merino wool outerwear and denim pants.
“These two new categories have been well received in terms of sell in to existing accounts and opening new doors. They are technically strong and the styling of these pieces helps round out our offering to the Hollas customer,” said Don Nichols, founder of Hollas and partner of parent company, Second Skin Garment Company. “We will continue to expand the collection with more offerings in 2012 and beyond for the player that wants to wear Hollas on and off the course.”
Hollas has introduced two styles of merino wool outerwear for fall: Central Park V-Neck (MSRP: $120) and Empire ¼ Zip Pullover (MSRP: $130). Color combinations will include Vapor/Lime, Black/Ebony, Ebony/Vapor and Lime/Ebony. This unique wool is exceptionally breathable and lightweight, and even maintains its warmth even when wet.
The new denim pants (MSRP: $120) are a dark wash with stretch to provide the perfect fit Hollas customers have come to expect.
The company has sold its merino wool and denim collections into on-course pro shops and leading resorts for fall 2011. Since the company began efforts to expand into the U.S. market in 2010, Hollas products have been placed in high-profile facilities including Bighorn Golf Club, The Madison Club, Bandon Dunes, Circling Raven, Whisper Rock and more.
