FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla., April 18, 2011…With the 2011 golf season now underway, Edwin Watts Golf Shops (EWGS), one of the world’s largest specialty golf retailers with over 90 locations, has announced a series of chain-wide tune-up day events through the spring and early summer. The inaugural “Spring Tune-Up” day will take place on Saturday, April 23, and be highlighted by “Save Strokes & Perfect Your Putting,” a putting clinic, complemented by Odyssey putter fittings, hosted by Callaway Golf. The first 25 golfers to go through a putter fitting at each store on April 23 will receive a free sleeve of HX Diablo Tour balls.
As part of the overall Edwin Watts Golf tune-up day festivities, which are designed to make the 2011 golf season one of true game improvement, golfers of all ages and skill levels are invited to visit a local store and participate in interactive activities such as swing analysis, performance club fitting sessions, club re-gripping, cleat change-outs and much more.

As part of the chain-wide series, each store in the Edwin Watts Golf portfolio will host a monthly tune-up day with a special theme. Future event dates include May 21 (short game), June 25 (wedges) and July 23 (drivers). At each event, the Company’s expert staff, boasting the highest technical IQ in golf, will greet customers with unique promotions and service offerings, ensuring all golfers are well-equipped for the season. Representatives from leading equipment manufacturers and local PGA Professionals will be on-site to participate in these one-day events, as golfers can have their equipment tuned-up, participate in clinics & swing analysis, experience free performance club fitting sessions and other in-store service offerings. As part of the festivities, all participants can register to win valuable prizes, including clubs, balls and bags.
