Troon Golf Announces New General Manager At Marin Country Club

Scottsdale, Ariz. (April 20, 2011) – Troon Golf,® the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Sauvage to the general manager position at Marin Country Club outside of San Francisco in Novato, Calif.

Sauvage has been with Troon Golf for more than 10 years and brings valued experience from a highly esteemed career in the golf industry that includes leadership positions at several reputable golf facilities. He most recently served as the general manager at Bamm Hollow Country Club, a 27-hole private club located in New Jersey. Previous roles also include the club manager position at Escena Golf Club in California, as well as the director of golf at the member-owned Haig Point Club in South Carolina.

“I am thrilled at the opportunity to contribute to the long-established reputation of Marin Country Club,” said Sauvage. “Improving upon a club that has already reached levels of high acclaim is a challenge I am eager to accomplish.”

Sauvage has been a member of the Professional Golf Association since 1998 and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from New Mexico State University with an emphasis in professional golf management.

Marin Country Club offers full-service amenities that include an 18-hole golf course, indoor/outdoor golf training facility, fitness center, four tennis courts, three pools and a well-equipped golf shop. Its elegant clubhouse also features casual and fine dining for members and a ballroom for weddings, banquets and special events. Designed by John Harbottle, the recently renovated golf course boasts reconfigured bunkers and new greens. The course has been home to the 1993 U.S. Open Championship qualification tournament, the 2004 U.S. Amateur Qualifying Championship, and most recently the 2008 U.S. Open Senior Amateur Qualifying Tournament.
