(VIENNA, VA) – Billy Casper Golf (BCG) – owner and operator of more than 120 golf courses, country clubs and resorts – has been retained by the Prince William County Park Authority in suburban Washington, D.C. to manage Forest Greens Golf Club, General’s Ridge Golf Course and Prince William Golf Course.
Park Authority officials voted 8-0 for BCG after conducting a national search for a golf-course operator.
BCG will oversee all aspects of operations, course and property maintenance, marketing and public relations, staffing and training, merchandising, clubhouse, food and beverage, financial management, golf instruction and special events.
The three courses will be enrolled in the Audubon International “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary” program, ensuring high standards protecting the environment and preserving the natural heritage of golf. Results include efficiencies in maintenance, insurance premiums, energy, water, pesticides, fertilizer, equipment wear and labor.
“We’re excited to partner with Billy Casper Golf,” says Jay Ellington, Executive Director of Prince William County Park Authority. “Golfers will experience excellent course conditions and improved service.”
“Billy Casper Golf looks forward to building upon the already strong foundation at these three courses,” says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of BCG. “We have a sturdy track record increasing the popularity of courses among local golfers, and this benefits municipalities fiscally.”
The engagement increases BCG’s portfolio to 10 courses in Virginia and 17 in the Mid-Atlantic region. The company also operates multi-course portfolios in Chicago; Cook County, IL; Tulsa; Cincinnati; Philadelphia; Anne Arundel County, MD; Knoxville, TN; Troy, MI and Wilmington, DE.
