Golf industry’s economic impact showcased at National Golf Day event

April 27, Denver CO – GolfTEC offered golf lessons to congressmen and congresswomen in the foyer of the House of Representatives by invitation from The PGA of America, a member of We Are Golf, a golf advocacy group comprised of industry organizations. Using GolfTEC’s patented video and motion-measurement system, GolfTEC provided fact-based swing evaluations for US Representatives and their staff. The event took place Wednesday, April 13, which is designated National Golf Day. This was the second year that GolfTEC was selected to be a part of National Golf Day on Capitol Hill.

“This was an important day to showcase the charitable contributions and economic impact derived from the golf industry and it’s an honor for GolfTEC to be invited by the organizations that comprise We Are Golf,” said Joe Assell, GolfTEC CEO. “We Are Golf provides the passion for promoting the golf industry and GolfTEC showcases the leading edge of golf improvement.”

GolfTEC is the unprecedented leader in golf instruction with over 20% of the market, 144 locations in North American and over 2.6 million lessons taught. Their “Proven Path” approach has a consistent 95% success rate. Their unique method includes fact-based diagnosis, sequential lessons, video-based practice and advanced retention tools. GolfTEC has literally changed the way America learns to play golf. This will be the second year GolfTEC, the PGA and We Are Golf traveled to Washington DC to shed light on the economic impact of the golf industry.

Golfers who had their swing recorded during the event can now view the swing video online. The recorded swing was sent digitally to more than 400 GolfTEC Certified Personal Coaches nationwide for review and critique. The Coaches can offer their feedback to the golfer via a website sponsored by We Are Golf. GolfTEC taught 56 short lessons this year at the event.
