VedbÆk, Denmark, April 29, 2011 – James Leitz, PGA Professional and recognized swing analysis, ball flight, and club-fitting expert, is now available to answer reader questions regarding the recent TrackMan Blog post featuring him discussing the D-Plane and its significance for teaching and club fitting.
TrackMan and James Leitz met during the PGA Merchandise Show where Leitz collaborated with TrackMan to develop a series of exclusive videos focused on the D-Plane. The videos were posted recently on the TrackMan Blog.
TrackMan now hopes to provide additional insight on the often-misunderstood D-Plane by enlisting Leitz to answer any questions readers might have regarding the difficult, yet essential component of teaching and club fitting.
Described by two variables – 1) club direction and 2) face orientation – the D-Plane is one of the most hotly discussed topics in swing and ball flight theory today. In fact, a simple Google search on the “importance of the D-Plane,” turns up nearly 70 million results.
Considered one of the world’s leading authorities on the D-Plane, Leitz uses a 3D model in the videos to illustrate the D-Plane and its influence on ball flight, while also going into depth on related concepts such as spin loft and spin axis.
Along the way, Leitz provides valuable insight on swing and ball flight theory and the new ball flight laws, illustrating in practical terms by using video examples how the D-Plane should be used in teaching and club-fitting.
Industry professionals wanting to learn more on the D-Plane are encouraged to visit the TrackMan Blog to ask questions that will be answered by Leitz and/or TrackMan’s staff of experts.
