Mentors will provide positive encouragement and a welcoming environment for
women to learn to play golf
CARLSBAD, Calif., May 4, 2011 – Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) today announced a national Mentoring Program with Women on Course, an organization that promotes the golf lifestyle to women in a social and inclusive environment. The Women on Course community has grown to 52,000 women golfers in more than 30 cities across the U.S. Callaway and Women on Course, longtime partners committed to growing the game of golf, developed a mentorship-training program that encourages avid women golfers to share their passion for the game by introducing others to the sport. Callaway Staff Professionals Tina Mickelson and Debbie Keller will participate in multiple Women on Course events throughout the country to help promote the mentoring program.
The Callaway and Women on Course Mentoring Program will prepare mentors by providing guidelines for learning the game of golf, including what to do before arriving at the course, and by encouraging a non-intimidating atmosphere for women to learn the rules of golf, get informed about proper equipment and even golf etiquette.

Now in its fifth year, Women on Course is dedicated to connecting and promoting participation in the golf lifestyle by highlighting the business, social and fitness benefits of the game. The organization’s nationwide events offer women golfers the opportunity to connect with the game beyond the course. At these events, women can meet other like-minded individuals. From beginners to seasoned golf veterans, Women on Course events welcome players of all skill levels to become a member.
