The Players Championship winner uses Matrix Ozik F6M2 in victory
ANAHEIM, Calif. – MATRIX Shafts would like to congratulate the winner of The Players Championship, a tournament universally accepted as “the fifth major.” While playing the MATRIX OZIK F6M2 in a TaylorMade Ghost driver, he won in a sudden death playoff. The win was the second consecutive win for a player using the M2-series shaft this season. Last week, the heavier F7M2 shaft was used by the winner of the Wells Fargo Championship.
Over the past two years, the OZIK M2-series has had tremendous success on the PGA Tour. The shaft was also used to win a U.S. Open Championship and several other tournaments. In addition, the M-series has also claimed 11 top-10’s and six top-5’s. The OZIK M2-series shafts bring innovative breakthroughs in technology through a unique blend of highly advanced composites and class leading manufacturing techniques.
While the MATRIX M2-series has enjoyed much success on Tour, the research and development of its replacement, the M3 has continued. Due to be released in June, the M3 promises to raise the bar yet again. According to MATRIX Shafts Chief of Research and Design Daniel You, these expectations of a newly refined and optimized version of the M2 are extremely high.
“We are trusted by the finest players in the world and we take that very seriously,” said You when asked about the new advances in the M3 version.
