Offering a day with the best of the best on the PGA Tour for charity
(May 16, 2011 – Coral Springs, FL) – Caddy For A Cure, Inc., the unique professional golf experience that allows fans to caddy for a day for charity with PGA TOUR players, announces an opportunity with reigning Fedex St. Jude Classic champion and world ranked #1 golfer, Lee Westwood.
The Caddy For A Cure opportunities are offered through online auctions found through its website (http://www.caddyforacure.com) and eBay auction links. The auction for Lee Westwood is presently live and open for bids. The caddy date will be on Wednesday, June 8th during the pro am competition round of the Fedex St. Jude Classic tournament which will take place at the beautiful TPC Southwind in Memphis from June 6th thru June 12th.
Auction proceeds for these opportunities go to charity and are fully tax deductible as allowed by law. For the Fedex St. Jude Classic, auction proceeds will support the PGA TOUR military initiative, Birdies for the Brave, the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, the PGA TOUR Caddy Assistance Fund, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Lee Westwood’s charity of choice.
The auction winner for this opportunity will spend the day with Westwood and his TOUR caddy on the driving range, putting green and golf course, experiencing each shot first-hand and being in the middle of the action of a professional golf event. They will walk shoulder to shoulder among the world’s best players as they prepare to compete in one of the PGA TOUR’s most exciting events.
“It has always been our objective to offer golf fans the best and most unique experiences in professional golf, to let them see it from an insiders’ perspective by bringing them closer to the game and to the players, commented Russ Holden, Caddy For A Cure founder and veteran PGA TOUR caddy. While we’ve had most of the best players in the world participate with us before, this is the first time we’ve had the #1 ranked player in the world participate at a tournament where he is also the defending champion. Lee has participated with us before and is a strong supporter of our program. And while every single player who is competing out there today is phenomenal, it is an honor and privilege to offer the participation of a player like Westwood who is at the top of his career. Whoever wins this opportunity to spend a day with him is guaranteed to have a day they will never forget.”
