Hawthorne, N.Y. 2011 – On the evening of Wednesday, April 27th, John M. Winget, TPI Certified Level 2, Golf Fitness Expert, and Owner of Body Balance for Performance of Westchester County New York, was interviewed on “The Club House” radio show hosted by Brian Crowell, PGA Head Professional at Glen Arbor Golf Club. John answered questions and spoke about the importance of the body in relation to each individual’s golf swing. His goal is to spread the word of golf fitness.

“We identify the physical factors which influence swing flaws such as a slice”, said John M. Winget, DPT, TPI of Body Balance for Performance of New York in response to a question about the golfer that suffers from a slice in their ball flight. He continued, “Those physical factors often include dysfunctions in any number of areas. They may include problems with center of gravity control, rotation of the upper body and/or the hips and the strength to support those movements.”

The Westchester County, New York Body Balance philosophy has helped many golfers improve their game and lifestyle. Golf clients can range from high handicap golfers to highly placed amateurs.

“When a golfer starts up their game in the spring, stretches should be light in intensity and at least 30 seconds in duration.” said John after being asked how a golfer should start up their golf game after a 2-3 month layoff. “Running in place or riding a stationary bicycle for 5 minutes helps to get the golfer’s blood moving. This is a great way to start each round of golf.”

Body Balance for Performance of Westchester County, New York helps golfers improve more than just the golf game. They help reduce physical pain and help golfers reach their fitness goals.
