Try-before-you-buy demo program showcases fun, accurate, affordable system
(TRAVERSE CITY, MI) – Dancin’ Dogg Golf, maker of the OptiShot Infrared Simulator, the ultimate in-home virtual golf system, today announced that its industry-leading product is now available for purchase and try-before-you-buy demos at select Golfsmith retail locations from coast to coast.
OptiShot connects with Windows computers via a plug-and-play interface and requires only 8-½ feet of swing space. With their own clubs, up to four players per round can compete by hitting real balls, foam balls (provided) or no ball at all. Infrared sensors on a durable swing pad precisely record club-head speed, face angle, swing path, distance, tempo, face contact and ball flight. In addition to complete courses, golfers can practice and compete on the par-3 option or a realistic driving range. Users can also purchase premium layouts at www.dancindogg.com.
Facilitated by trained Golfsmith associates at select locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina and Texas, the demos showcase the many unique characteristics of OptiShot that led ScoreGolf to honor it with its prestigious “Research & Development” award. These include crystal-clear graphics, affordability (MSRP: $399), easy set-up, fun factor, accurate shot feedback and realistic replications of world famous courses.
“After great success with our product in their online shop, Golfsmith has embraced the opportunity to introduce even more of its customers to our unique, game-enhancing simulator,” says Brandon Theophilus, CEO of Dancin’ Dogg Golf. “It’s perfect for men, women and children of all ages who want an affordable, fun, truly accurate way to play real golf from the comfort of their own home.”
Dancin’ Dogg Golf recently launched its next-generation software package, including new courses and a variety of features to enhance the user experience and facilitate skills development. These include:
• Enhanced visual shot feedback and swing analysis
• Detailed statistics tracking for export to an Excel spreadsheet
• Precision putting grids to help visualize contours
• Ability to create multiple players and manage their settings and preferences
The package also features two new replicas of internationally acclaimed courses: ÖsterÅker Golf Club – among Sweden’s highest-rated courses – and The Canadian Club, which was directly inspired by one of the Toronto area’s greatest layouts.
