Provo, UT, May 25, 2011, 2010 – A Provo man hit a hole-in-one last week at the Lavell Edwards Charity Golf Tournament at Riverside Country Club.

35 year old Teegan Clark has been playing golf for ten years, so it was special for him when he hit his first hole-in-one using the Dixon Fire golf ball. Perhaps more special was the $10,000 in cash he took won, which was split between himself and the Utah Boys and Girls Club.

“When I hit it, I didn’t think it went in. The guys on the green were making weird hand gestures,” Clark said. “Then one of the guys told me ‘we’re not golfers, but it’s in the hole’.”

Clark, a ten handicap, made his shot on the 17th hole, a 157 yard par 3. As soon as his foursome found out Teegan had nailed the hole in one, the group celebrated with the requisite high fives and hollering. He made the shot with a Dixon Fire golf ball, which also happens to be the most expensive ball in golf.

“I used to play only the Titleist Pro V1, but I’ll only play the Dixon Fire ball from now on. How could I not?”

Dixon Golf CEO William Carey, an alumnus of BYU where Lavell Edwards was the head football coach for many years, had this to say: “The Fire ball has only been on the market for ten months, and I have heard more stories like Teegan’s than I can count. Of course, not all of them end with the golfer taking home $5,000.”

Dixon Golf, a Tempe, AZ based company, is the world’s only manufacturer of a high performance, eco-friendly family of golf balls. Even the packaging is made from 100 percent recycled material. From core to cover, from packaging to production, Dixon Golf is setting a new standard in environmental consciousness.
