Leading clubhouse designer taps 30,000-square-foot studio for contemporary makeover
(OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.) – Tom Hoch – fresh off the completion of the club’s master plan – has been selected for the phase one build of the interior at Hillcrest Country Club, one of Oklahoma’s most tradition-laden private facilities, located in historic Bartlesville.
From its 30,000-square-foot design and build studio, Tom Hoch will fast-track the renovation of Hillcrest’s member dining and living areas into a contemporary interior design. The Tom Hoch team’s innate ability, creativity and experience will foster a seamless transition to the build phase, thus creating a best-in-class product that meets the vision of the master plan. The entire finished interior will be delivered to the club and installed turn-key within 90 days of project initiation.
The goal is to infuse the club with new energy through an interior design reflecting the contemporary lifestyles of today’s Hillcrest member while embracing the rich cultural history of the club and its storied place in the Bartlesville community. Interior space planning will be employed to increase the club’s operational efficiency through minor rearrangement and resizing of spaces.
“Tom Hoch provides a total turn-key experience — from the initial design consultation and master plan through the building and installation — that allows us to reinvent the entire club with minimal disruption to our membership and revenue,” says John B. Kane. “Hillcrest is a club with a storied tradition and Tom Hoch’s work will no doubt evoke a sense of pride among our members.”
“We look forward to transforming this unique, contemporary clubhouse into a place all members can be excited, comforted and inspired by every time they visit,” says Hoch. “It is vital the clubhouse reflects the rich cultural history the people of Bartlesville care so deeply about.”
Hillcrest Country Club, founded in 1926 by a group of businessmen, offers members luxury-class golf, tennis and dining facilities. The club’s golf course was designed by architect Perry Maxwell and has been ranked by Tulsa World as one of Oklahoma’s five best courses.
Other recent U.S. and internationally-based Tom Hoch projects include: The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain (Marana, Arizona); The Members’ Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota (Florida); Farm Links Golf Club (Alabama); Renaissance Golf Club (Massachusetts); TPC Valencia (California); Zavidovo Golf and Lake Resort (Russia); and Tulsa Country Club (Oklahoma); multiple projects with Troon Golf; Apes Hill Club (Barbados); and The Abaco Club (Bahamas).
