Softspikes Breaks Two Records in This Weekends Championships
BRENTWOOD, Tenn., June 28, 2011 … Softspikes®, the world’s best-selling golf cleat brand and maker of the #1 Cleat in Golf, once again dominated the plastic cleat field at this year’s Traveler’s Championship. With 13 of the Top 17 finishers donning the brand, Softspikes claimed more than half of the plastic cleat field in Connecticut.
Also wearing Softspikes at the Traveler’s Championship was an amateur player who shot a 60 and set the record for the first ever by an amateur player at a PGA Tour event. The winner of the LPGA Championship, also wearing Softspikes, set her own record this weekend by becoming the youngest player, male or female, to win all four major championships.
“Having both of the young players wear our cleats at this weekends events makes us excited for the future of Softspikes ,” said John Hohman, Vice President of Marketing, PrideSports. “When players at this age and skill level continue to use our product, we know that there is a bright future for Softspikes.”
Softspikes’ patented Dynamic Cleat Technology allows its cleats to be responsive to all terrains – Tee Boxes, Fairways, Roughs, Greens, etc – providing confidence on every swing of the club. In other words, longer drives, better iron shots and lower scores. For more information on Softspikes, please visit www.softspikes.com.

This acquisition essentially formed the world’s premier golf accessories company, as Pride and Softspikes are the world’s leading golf tee and golf cleat lines, respectively. Today, PrideSports is the world leader in the design and manufacture of cleats, spikes and receptacles for the entire golf footwear industry.
