Winning the $1.5 million purse, two PGA Tour stars – one playing Aerotech’s No. 1-selling SteelFiber composite iron shafts – never gave up their first-round lead and posted a tournament-record low score of 24-under-par 118.
Rhode Island’s number one charity sporting event, the CVS Caremark Charity Classic benefits numerous regional charities. Since its inaugural event in 1999, the prestigious tournament has donated $14 million to hundreds of New England-area philanthropic organizations dedicated to helping children and families. The CVS Caremark Charity Classic features 20 professionals from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours, paired into 10 two-person teams.
