IRVINE, CA – AUGUST 8, 2011 – FOURTEEN GOLF, recognized as a worldwide leader in wedge design with over 34 professional tour victories in 2010 and 2011, proudly announced today that the company has developed a fairway wood for golfers who prefer a strong loft with a TOUR size club head, introducing the SF-511.
Professional golfers prefer a stronger degree loft in their fairway woods. They want additional distance to reach those long par fives in two or even to use them off the tee box. This criterion was the basis in designing the FOURTEEN GOLF SF-511 Fairway Woods. Both the 3-Wood and 5-Wood feature a stronger loft compared to traditional fairway woods.
According to FOURTEEN GOLF COO Marcy Kamoda, “These fairway woods were inspired by the Tour but the amateur golfer who wants playability with increased yardage should demo one. They will be impressed.”
To tackle or penetrate the toughest of lies, FOURTEEN GOLF designed the SF-511 Fairway Woods with a slightly smaller club head and combined it with a unique “U” shaped sole. This combination provides strength with stability and prevents snap hooks.
To produce power with the perfect sound, these high launching fairway woods feature a 1.9mm thin face with a wide sweet spot. These two elements resulted in a cup-faced design that generates tremendous power at impact.
The SF-511 Fairway Woods perform at the highest level but look like the traditionally designed woods from the past thanks to two layers of Titanium which are strategically positioned on the outer portion of the crown. These film layers make the head appear sharper and ensure a comfortable set up.
Two shafts are available for the SF-511 Fairway Woods — the TS-75F for the athletic golfer and the MD-335GF for the average golfer. Players should be fit according to club head speed. Selecting the proper shaft should produce power with optimum performance.
FOURTEEN GOLF is a burgeoning golf equipment company that takes great pride in their tour program. The company has recently signed PGA Professionals Chad Collins and Arjun Atwal.
These two additions to the FOURTEEN GOLF professional staff proves that the FOURTEEN GOLF tour program is succeeding which is critical to the company’s overall growth initiative. The feed back they receive from the touring professionals furnish key information for the research and development team as well as provides keen visibility.
