“The hottest shafts in golf” has won both shaft counts on PGA Tour for 26 of past 30 weeks
POWAY, Calif. – Led by the RIP’d NV golf shaft, Aldila (www.aldila.com) captured the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Reno-Tahoe Open. The double win marked the 26th time in the past 30 weeks that Aldila has won both shaft counts on the PGA Tour. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” had 17 more wood shafts and 5 more hybrid shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer at the Reno-Tahoe Open, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila also won the hybrid shaft manufacturer count at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and at the Cox Classic on the Nationwide Tour.
RIP Technology™ continues to be deadly long, deadly accurate on the PGA Tour as the second longest driver at the Reno-Tahoe Open played Aldila’s RIP in his driver. He finished the tournament with an overall driving distance average of 343.3 yards. At the Greenbrier Classic the week before the most accurate driver played Aldila’s RIP’d NV shaft in his driver to finish with an overall accuracy percentage of 87.5 percent. Also at the Greenbrier Classic, the longest driver played Aldila’s RIP shaft in his driver. Three of the top five most accurate drivers on the PGA Tour play Aldila shafts.
Reverse Interlaminar Placement Technology™ (RIP) transforms the shaft from the inside out providing players with shot control. The RIP provides golfers with lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control.
“The new RIP’d NV incorporates the best performance attributes from two of Aldila’s most innovative shaft designs,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The ‘perfect feel’ and slim, stable shaft profile of the Aldila NV® and the unprecedented control and accuracy of the Aldila RIP®. The Aldila NV featuring Micro Laminate technology (MLT®) is the most popular aftermarket shaft in history. The revolutionary RIP Technology of the Aldila RIP has made it the hottest model on the PGA Tour. The RIP’d NV is not just long, it’s longer – not just straight, it’s straighter. While other shaft companies just change names and colors, Aldila technology will change your game.”
