The all-new KBS C-Taper is on a roll with major manufacturers, today being adopted by PING Golf’s Custom department available immediately through PING Golf fitters nationwide. Today’s announcement highlights growing interest for the KBS C-Taper shaft which was introduced May 2011 and is now trusted by several top PGA Tour professionals including the #1 ranked American Golfer in the world.
The KBS C-Taper shaft incorporates a unique blend of manufacturing and design advancements that complement the signature KBS Tour shaft series. Designed for lower launch and reduced spin, the KBS C-Taper shaft targets players with a faster swing tempo and higher trajectory. Using concepts taken from the KBS Tour shaft for Efficient Shaft Performance, the KBS C-Taper proved in independent robot testing to reduce spin by 5%, lower trajectory by 5%, and increase distance by 5% (up to 12 yards total) versus KBS leading competitor.
Technology behind the KBS C-Taper is based on optimal shaft geometry taken from the KBS Tour design with calculated changes made in taper design and section balance for a unique performance.
