GTX’s award-winning design staff has introduced an innovative performance putter using U.S. craftsmanship and manufacturing.
Austin, Texas, August 15, 2011 – Golf Technologies Exchange, Inc. (GTX) has developed a classic mallet style putter that can be personalized to one’s own interests without the complexity or high cost generally associated with custom personalization. The Tradition Putter is a high moment of inertia (MOI) design with a very traditional mallet shape and set-up. The body of this face balanced design is constructed of aluminum and available in two variations – the Pewter and the Unlimited with the center constructed very much like a shadow box. A durable UV polycarbonate “view window” allows for a perfect view of the center of the putter. The Polycarbonate clear material GTX utilizes is high quality and the same as what is used in bullet proof glass. Within the view window the number of personalized objects which can be displayed is limitless.
GTX offers a wide assortment of hand crafted pewter medallions that can be installed into the Tradition Pewter Putter. A wide variety of medallions available include military emblems, public service logos (such as a law enforcement badge, fire fighter’s Maltese cross and EMS shield), collegiate and classic golfer images.
Each of these art carvings are produced by pewter artisans here in the states. The detail in these pewter medallions surpasses anything that can be produced in stainless steel, titanium or aluminum (common golf club head materials). Pewter is unique to the golf industry. Its density is 7.35 grams per cubic centimeter and is slightly lighter than steel. GTX utilizes exclusively high quality pewter that is lead-free (unlike inferior pewter alloys available on the market). Pewter incorporates the vibration qualities of a soft metal leading to a sound and feel at impact that is soft yet responsive.
The pewter medallions available for the Tradition putter contribute to each putter’s balanced weight distribution. The appropriate pewter medallion is married up to the correct pewter soleplate that results in a well-balanced completed putter.
The Tradition Unlimited Putter incorporates a stainless steel soleplate on the same body and can be personalized in an unlimited number of ways. High quality printed images including photographs, logos, corporate graphics or any image you can image will be produced and installed into the Unlimited’s body and protected by the same UV polycarbonate view window as the Pewter Putter.
While the constant taper double-bend shaft promotes a face-balanced putter its mid-size grip with soft contours promotes a relaxed grip set-up. Every detail pertaining to the putter’s functionality has been addressed in its design.
The Tradition Putter, designed and developed by Jeff Sheets Golf Design Inc, Austin Texas, utilizes a Cross-Groove face technology that imparts an immediate over-spin to the golf ball. Less loft is necessary to get the ball rolling down its intended target line as a result of the Cross-Groove face design. Independent testing with Flight Scope’s Putting Eagle has identified the Cross-Groove face technology to have a superior over-spin efficiency compared to other face technologies.
The Tradition putters provide high tech performance coupled with unique personalization. Visit www.thetraditionputter.com to see the complete line of personalization options. Keep in mind that personalization is not limited to the medallion offerings on the website. A popular way to personalize one’s Tradition putter is with a personal medallion, piece of artwork, jewelry or coin. With the vast variety of collectable or ‘challenge’ coins on the market there are few limitations to the scope you can personalize a Tradition Putter.
Both right and left handed models will be available with a color choice of silver or black and include two head covers options to choose from. The standard head cover is embroidered with the Tradition putter ‘Claret Jug’ on the top. An optional pewter medallion head cover is available which matches the medallion (or customer supplied coin) on its top with the Tradition putter embroidery on the head cover’s underside.
The Tradition Putter is a departure from the main stream putters found in golf shops around the world. Further features include the availability of custom engraving to personalize the putter that much more. Its great performance benefits coupled with its high level of personalization make it a unique putter for you or as a highly personalized gift.
See the Tradition putters at the PGA Golf Expo in Las Vegas this August 24 – 25. GTX will be displaying in booth 1035 and will be participating in the Demo Night at the Callaway Golf Center on August 22.
