HARDYSTON, N.J., August 16, 2011 – Adding to its popular line-up of family golf activities, Crystal Springs Resort is rounding out the summer season with special family golf rates at Cascades and Minerals Golf Courses, just two among seven layouts in the resort’s award-winning collection.
Starting at noon daily, families can tee it up together at Cascades Golf Course for just $140 for a foursome, $115 for a threesome and only $79 for a twosome. At least one player in the group must be age 16 or younger. The family golf rate covers either one or two loops around the nine-hole Cascades layout, the newest of Crystal Springs’ golf courses.
“It is great to see so many families playing golf together at Crystal Springs,” said Art Walton, vice president of golf operations at the resort. “We have ideal venues for family golf and it’s important we continue to develop programs that encourage more parents and their children to play golf together, and for them to play together more often.”
Cascades is the third course at Crystal Sprints Resort designed by renowned golf course architect Roger Rulewich. It was created with a specific set of tees to make the game enjoyable for youngsters and those new to the game, but at 3,627 yards can still provide challenges for experienced golfers. Cascades also is home to Crystal Springs’ innovative Fast Track Golf, a well-received program new for 2011 that promotes playing 18 holes in less than four hours, or nine holes in less than two hours.
The wide-ranging family golf amenities and programs at Crystal Springs Resort also include the Minerals Golf Club, where families can play either nine or 18 holes for just $60 per foursome on weekdays ($45/threesome and $30/twosome) and on weekends/holidays for $79 per foursome, $63 per threesome and $45 twosome, from noon to dark. Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Minerals is an executive nine-hole layout with par-3’s and par-4’s that is ranked among the best short courses in America.
The Northeast’s premier golf destination located in the mountains of northern New Jersey, Crystal Springs is a destination resort that offers an array of amenities appealing to mom, dad, sister and brother alike, including:
• Four-seater carts, specially designed so that juniors may drive
• The David Leadbetter Academy for private lessons, small clinics, summer camps and complete golf schools
