VACAVILLE, California – Scott de Borba (Rancho Murieta, CA) of Valley Hi Country Club won the Callaway Golf Northern California PGA Assistant Championship today at Diablo Grande Resort in Patterson, California.

“I was thrilled with my performance today as I didn’t anticipate shooting both rounds in the 60s,” said de Borba. “I’m very honored to be the 2011 champion.”

Scott de Borba, 25, posted a final-round 69 for a tournament total of 138 and a 3-stroke victory over Ray Otis (San Jose, CA) of CordeValle Golf Club. Joe Dolby, (Mountain View, CA) of Palo Alto Hills GCC came in third with a final score of 142, one stroke behind Otis.

Otis and Dolby both qualified for the 35th Callaway Golf PGA Assistant Championship, November 3-6, at The PGA Golf Club (Wanamaker Course) in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
