Mitchell® Golf Equipment Company, Dayton, Ohio announces the promotion of Tom Mitchell to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Tom, whose former position was Executive Vice President, will immediately assume sole responsibility for corporate direction to increase Mitchell® Golf’s reach throughout the golf industry.
“Tom has experienced every facet of our operation from shipping to his current management position,” states Ed Mitchell, Tom’s father and Chairman of Mitchell® Golf. “I am proud of his growth in our family business. Tom’s promotion completes a re-staffing that started with the appointment of Peter Dennis, PGA, as Director of Sales, Patrick Bean, Golf Academy of America graduate, as Operations Manager, Kyle Pinger, University of Cincinnati graduate, as Director of Marketing and Larry Baldridge, Golf Academy of America graduate, as Director of Business Development and Education. All have extensive golf experience and education that positions Mitchell® Golf for future expansion as the golf market begins its rebound in 2012.
Gwen Mitchell, Ed’s wife, remains as President of Mitchell® Golf and will continue with her management duties including all accounting functions. Ed Mitchell, Founder and Chairman, will continue to be involved with numerous aspects of the company including long-range planning.
