St. Petersburg, FL – TourLinks® announced today that they are a Sponsor of the City Parks Foundation Corporate Putting Challenge to benefit CityParks Golf, a free instructional program which reaches 3,500 urban youth annually. With free lessons and use of equipment, the program, held in 12 public parks and on citywide courses, gives kids a chance to improve their skills. The CityParks Putting Challenge Finals will be held Tuesday, August 23rd on a custom-made Tour Links putting green located at the World Financial Center Winter Garden in New York, NY.
Seven local amateur golfers will put their putting skills to the test at the CityParks Putting Challenge Finals. The participants, who are the winners of free lunchtime putting contests held in seven Manhattan office buildings and two metro-area public courses over the past three weeks, will compete for the title of “New York City’s Putting Champion” and win a foursome at a local area Golf Course. PGA Pro Gregg Gaulocher and Met PGA Junior competitor, Rebecca Chan, age 10, will be on hand to act as “lifelines,” in the event of a miss as each of the players hit multiple putts from various locations on the custom-made, Tour Links putting green.
