PGA Tour veteran captures Nationwide Tour win using Aldila’s VooDoo®, NV® golf shafts
POWAY, Calif. – Benefiting from Aldila’s RIP shafts in his 3 and 5 woods, the winner of The Barclays made quick work of the first leg of the PGA Tour Playoffs for the FedExCup event posting a 19-under 194 (66-63-65) for a two-shot victory in the weather-shortened event. With the victory he took over the top spot in the FedExCup standings where the remaining 100 players will now move on to the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Aldila (www.aldila.com) also left not doubt that they were the #1 golf shaft of choice on the PGA Tour by running away with the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at The Barclays. Aldila had 39 more wood shafts and nearly double the amount of hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor, according to the Darrell Survey. Winning both the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at The Barclays marked the 29th time in the past 33 weeks that Aldila has won both counts on the PGA Tour.
“The Top players on the PGA Tour continue to trust Aldila’s RIP (Reverse Interlaminar Placement) Technology™ because it provides them with lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “RIP transforms the shaft from the inside out providing players with shot control.”
The latest shaft in Aldila’s RIP arsenal, the RIP’d NV, incorporates the best performance attributes from two of Aldila’s most innovative shaft designs. The ‘perfect feel’ and slim, stable shaft profile of the Aldila NV® and the unprecedented control and accuracy of the Aldila RIP®. The Aldila NV, featuring Micro Laminate technology (MLT®), is the most popular aftermarket shaft in history. The revolutionary RIP Technology of the Aldila RIP has made it the hottest model on the PGA Tour.
“The RIP’d NV is not just long, it’s longer – not just straight, it’s straighter,” Bahl said. “While other shaft companies just change names and colors, Aldila technology will change your game.”
On the Nationwide Tour, Aldila owned the top of the leader board at the Knoxville News Sentinel Open as all five top finishers played Aldila shafts. Using Aldila’s VooDoo and NV golf shafts, the 22-year PGA Tour veteran and three-time winner notched his first Nationwide Tour victory finishing with a 21-under 267 (67-64-68-68).
Aldila’s VooDoo, featuring S-core (stabilized core) Technology™ is designed to maximize energy transfer to the golf ball, yielding unparalleled distance and accuracy with each swing. It’s high modulus carbon stabilization rib that runs the length of the shaft keeps it more concentric, preventing shaft ovaling, deformation and wasted energy during the golf swing.
“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” wrapped up their week of domination on the Tours winning the wood shaft manufacturer count and tying for first in the hybrid shaft count at the Knoxville News Sentinel Open.
Aldila’s patented shaft design technologies provide the perfect balance of applied art and engineering. They are continually on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
