Weekly instructional program to provide relaxed environment for beginning adult golfers
(TALLAHASSEE, Fla.) – SouthWood Golf Club – the award-winning Fred Couples and Gene Bates-designed course owned by The St. Joe Company and managed by Billy Casper Golf – today announces its fall “Get Golf Ready” classes for beginning adult golfers.
Programs will start on the following dates, and will be held for five consecutive weeks at the same times:
Wednesday, Sept. 7 (5:30 – 7 p.m.)
Friday, Sept. 9 (5:30 – 7 p.m.)
Sunday, Sept. 11 (4 – 5:30 p.m.)
Get Golf Ready is a nationally-branded program created and administered by the World Golf Foundation (“WGF”). It targets millions of U.S. adults who have never played golf, have minimal previous connection to the game or need rejuvenation after a hiatus. PGA-certified professionals will provide participants with basic instruction and information on golf’s rules, etiquette and values.
“By placing emphasis on creating a relaxed, friendly environment, Get Golf Ready eliminates the trepidations many beginning golfers experience and provides them with the skills necessary to get around the course,” says Beth Murphy, general manager.
Each class is limited to 15 students. Equipment is available onsite. The cost is $99.
