Dayton, Ohio (August 26, 2011) – Craig Krenzel, quarterback and MVP for the 2002 National Championship Ohio State Buckeyes will deliver an opening address during the 2011 OTF Conference and Show being held in Columbus, Ohio, December 5-8, 2011. Krenzel will speak on Wednesday morning, December 7th on the Conference and Show Main Stage in the Columbus Convention Center.
A 2004 graduate of The Ohio State University, Krenzel was twice named MVP of the Fiesta Bowl, including the National Championship game against the University of Miami where he led the Buckeyes in rushing with 84 yards and one touchdown in addition to 122 passing yards. During his collegiate career, Krenzel earned numerous accolades for his accomplishments on the field and in the classroom. His 3.75 GPA in Molecular Genetics helped earn him First-Team Academic All-American honors, Academic All-American of the Year and the Draddy Trophy, commonly known as the “Academic Heisman.”
Krenzel was selected in the fifth round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears where he went 3-2 as a starter before being sidelined by a season ending ankle injury. He then spent one season with the Bengals before an elbow injury ended his NFL career. Krenzel is now an Agency Manager with Arthur Krenzel Lett Insurance Group and a regular radio personality on 97.1 The Fan in Columbus, Ohio.
