Top 3 at Mylan Classic all benefit from Aldila’s leading golf shaft technology
POWAY, Calif. – As the top players in the world continue to battle it out in the FedExCup Playoffs, Aldila (www.aldila.com) continues to be the #1 shaft of choice. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” captured the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Deutsche Bank Championship this week and both counts the week prior at The Barclays. At the Deutsche Bank Championship Aldila had 22 more wood shafts and nearly double the amount of hybrid shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer, according to the Darrell Survey. At The Barclays, Aldila had 39 more wood shafts and nearly double the amount of hybrid shafts in play as their closest competitor.
Winning both the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Deutsche Bank Championship marked the 30th time in the past 34 weeks that Aldila has won both shaft manufacturer counts on the PGA Tour.
“Week after week throughout the season, the best players on the PGA Tour continue to rely on Aldila’s leading shaft technology,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “Aldila has developed three patented shaft design technologies, RIP®, S-core and MLT, that each offer players of all abilities optimum performance to maximize the potential of their individual swings. Aldila’s Reverse Interlaminar Placement Technology (RIP) transforms the shaft from the inside out providing players with shot control. RIP shafts offer golfers lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control. Their S-core Technology™ (S-core) provides the golfer with stability through an innovative design incorporating a one-piece carbon fiber rib system. This helps the shaft stay more concentric during the golf swing thereby transferring maximum energy. Aldila’s Micro Laminate Technology (MLT) is designed using ultra thin layers of premium aerospace graphite that are matched with a proprietary thin profile shaft design that eliminate ‘dead zones’ in the shaft for precise feel.”
For the second week in a row, Aldila also owned the top of the leader board on the Nationwide Tour as the winner as well as the second and third place finishers at the Mylan Classic all played Aldila shafts. Using Aldila’s VS Proto™ shaft, the Mylan Classic winner finished with a 17-under 267 (68-63-69-67) and a first place check for $108,000. The amount almost assures him of his PGA Tour card for next season as he moved up to 4th place in the Top 25 of the Nationwide Tour Money Leaders. At the end of the season the Top 25 all earn their PGA Tour card for the following season.
