Jane Spicer, president of Daphne’s Headcovers, explained, “We are delighted to report a successful PGA show, and I feel it bodes well for our industry.” The show traffic was up from the previous year and the buyers were organized and there to buy. The feeling I got from the show was what we used to see years ago when the buyers seemed to be on a mission. They had vendor lists in hand, inventory needs and were interested in learning about new items. We not only met our sales goals but we beat them!”
Daphne’s introduced a few new designs at the show, a Teddy Bear, Pink Poodle and a Weimaraner. “All were well received and along with our top sellers the buyers combined orders to make for a great show.” said Spicer.
“Our customers are not shy in telling us which Daphne’s Headcovers are not only their personal favorites but the top sellers in their shops back home. It’s amazing how some sell well regardless of geographical location.” Monkey Made of Sockies seems to know no boundaries and the same goes for our Pink Tabby. Both of these headcovers benefit a charity so their success is even sweeter for Spicer, as their company motto is “we must do good while we are doing well.”
Spicer attributes the hard work of the PGA and Reed exhibition to making the show a success. “From the pre-show promotion, the venue at the Venetian, to the bag pipes that opened the show, there were so many small details that were attended to to make this show a success for the exhibitors, the work that went into it was apparent.”
