New Proforce VTS Enjoys Continued Success on Major Tours Worldwide

(FORT WORTH, TX) – UST Mamiya – maker of the world’s finest carbon fiber golf shafts – reports the winner of the Songdo IBD Championship relied on its new Profroce VTS Silver in his driver (79 gram, x-flex) to earn a his first victory on the Champions Tour.

The only shaft collection to include torque as a variable in the fitting process was also recently used by the winner of the PGA Tour’s Deutsche Bank Championship. Each Proforce VTS weight/flex profile includes three torque options, allowing players to match the set-up that best suits their unique swing DNA. Shafts are color-coded to indicate torque rating, with Black featuring the lowest torque, Silver in the middle and Red offering the highest.

“Now that Proforce VTS has been trusted by winners on the PGA, Nationwide and Champions Tours, it’s the talk on the driving range of major circuits worldwide,” says Robb Schikner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of UST Mamiya. “By dialing in torque, the innovative line works harmoniously with any player’s unique swing to improve ball speed and tighten dispersion, resulting in increased distance, accuracy and consistency.”

Continuing the trend of strong showings for UST Mamiya users, the champion carded a final round 68 to force a playoff and earn the eventual victory. This win adds to the company’s list of titles this season, which includes eight on the PGA Tour.

Widely available in early 2012, consumers can gain early access to Proforce VTS products through the UST Mamiya TourSPX dealer network, which is comprised of a group of highly-acclaimed club fitters nationwide.
