ORLANDO, Fla. (September 26, 2011) – Gary Lorfano has been named Senior Director of Sales and Marketing of the ANNIKA Academy, Hall of Fame golfer Annika Sorenstam’s boutique golf instructional school at Reunion Resort near Orlando, Florida. Lorfano joins the Academy team with nearly 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the golf industry, including executive roles at the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy and Nicklaus/Flick Golf School.
“I am very pleased to have Gary on board to lead the sales team,” said Annika. “His experience with golf schools and executive sales will help the Academy continue to grow.”
In his new role, Lorfano, 40, will provide leadership in the day-to-day operations of the ANNIKA Academy sales department, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals. He will develop and nurture corporate programs and relationships both within and outside the golf industry. Lorfano will also be charged with determining new business growth potential and developing, executing and monitoring the sales strategy to establish market share.

Lorfano attended the University of Southern Maine and graduated with a bachelor of arts in business administration. He is currently on the board of Dr. Phillips Little League and is a previous board member of Champions for Children, benefiting the Arnold Palmer Medical Foundation. Lorfano and his wife, Bridgette, live in Orlando and have one son.
