Southern California venues include La Costa, Temecula Creek, Tahquitz Creek
(HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.) – International Junior Golf Tour – one of the leading competitive circuits for elite golfers grades 5-12 – is preparing for its annual “west coast swing,” including five events October – December.
Each event will take place in Southern California. Venues include Talega Golf Club (San Clemente, Calif.) Oct.8-9; The Legends Golf Club (Temecula, Calif.) Oct.22-23; Tahquitz Creek (Palm Springs, Calif.) Nov.19-20; La Costa (Carlsbad, Calif) Dec.3-4; and Temecula Creek (Temecula, Calif.) Dec.10-11.
At La Costa, several officials from Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy including Matt Fields (director of instruction), Matt Cuccaro (director of mental training) and Ann Maness (director of college placement) will conduct seminars and instructional clinics for participants and their families.

The IJGT’s final 2011 event at Temecula Creek is one of the fall season’s three majors. Players can receive an exemption to this invitational by competing in IJGT west coast events and earning merit points.
Headquartered on Hilton Head Island, S.C., the IJGT offers over 60 two-and three-day events throughout the U.S. each year. IJGT members represent 45 U.S. states and 43 countries.
Additional IJGT alumni include Hunter Mahan and Paula Creamer, as well as several other PGA and LPGA Tour players. The class of 2011 IJGT players are playing at several of the top NCAA Division I schools across the country including University of North Carolina, University of Arkansas, Indiana University, Southern Methodist University and others.
