(BRANSON, Missouri) – The first-ever Missouri Golf Day, special Senior Golf Rates, “Balloons Over Branson Creek”, a report on golf’s economic impact in the state, and a Christmas-themed charity / playing opportunity are some of what’s new and coming to Branson and the state.
Missouri Golf Day Planned, State to Release Golf Economic Impact Study October 11
The 2011 Missouri Governor’s Conference on Tourism kicks off with the inaugural “Missouri Golf Day,” Oct. 11 in Jefferson City. This golf extravaganza features Major League Baseball Hall of Fame member and Gateway PGA Foundation president, Ozzie Smith, and Joe Steranka, CEO of the PGA of America.
Missouri Golf Day celebrates the game of golf in Missouri. During the festivities, which include a tournament and many other activities, officials from the Missouri Golf Association will unveil a golf economic impact study spearheaded by the World Golf Foundation.
Branson is a leader in Missouri golf, with three of the state’s top-five-rated courses, according to Golfweek magazine. Add several other good to great courses, an array of off-course activities, including shopping, family themed choices, and more live entertainment theaters than Las Vegas, and it’s clear why Branson attracts more visitors than any other state destination.
