‘The hottest shafts in golf’ dominates driver, wood and hybrid shaft counts at Frys.com Open
POWAY, Calif. – With the help of Aldila’s VS Proto shafts in his hybrids, the winner of the rain-shortened Insperity Championship posted his first victory on the Champions Tour.
He finished the second round with a 7-under 65 for a one-stroke lead as the field headed into Sunday, but the heavy rains at The Woodlands Country Club in Texas washed away any hopes for the final round.
On the PGA Tour, Aldila (www.aldila.com) lived up to their reputation as “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” by dominating the shaft manufacturer counts at the Frys.com Open. By winning the driver, wood, and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Frys.com Open, Aldila maintained its status as the #1 Shaft on Tour. In fact, Aldila shafts were so popular that they had 30 more of their wood shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila has left no doubt that they are the shaft of choice by winning both the wood and hybrid shaft counts 34 times in the past 38 events on the PGA Tour.
“Aldila has developed three patented shaft design technologies that continue to prove themselves week after week on the PGA Tour,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “Micro Laminate (MLT), Stabilized Core (S-core) and Reverse Interlaminar Placement (RIP) technologies each offer players of all abilities optimum performance to maximize the potential of their individual swing.”
MLT is designed using ultra thin layers of premium aerospace graphite that are matched with a proprietary thin profile shaft design that eliminate ‘dead zones’ in the shaft for precise feel. S-core Technology™ provides the golfer with stability through an innovative design incorporating a one-piece carbon fiber rib system. This helps the shaft stay more concentric during the golf swing thereby transferring maximum energy. RIP Technology™ transforms the shaft from the inside out providing players with shot control. RIP shafts offer golfers lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control.
For the fourth consecutive year Aldila was also the #1 graphite shaft manufacturer at the PGA Tour Playoffs for the FedExCup, according to the Darrell Survey. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” dominated the competition by having 67 more wood shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer throughout the four-event playoff and 23 more hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor.
Aldila’s patented shaft design technologies provide the perfect balance of applied art and engineering. They are continuÌâåÂÌâåÂally on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
