ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 13, 2011) – Golfweek today announced the debut of its first-ever “Duel at the Dunes” pro-am tournament, which will be held April 22-25 at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore. Open to four-person teams of three amateurs and one club professional from any of the nation’s 18-hole golf facilities, this exciting 54-hole event invites players to compete on three of the Beaver State’s highest-ranked courses – Pacific Dunes, Old Macdonald and Bandon Dunes.
“With Duel at the Dunes, we’re delivering an unforgettable golf experience at one of the most talked-about and highly acclaimed golf destinations in the country,” said Armand Cimaroli, Golfweek’s director of events. “This trio at Bandon Dunes features some of the most riveting golf we’ve ever offered, and we’re excited to give golfers the opportunity to test their skills against these celebrated tracks.”
Registration for Duel at the Dunes is now open and includes three nights of single-occupancy accommodations; three tournament rounds at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort; a par-3 contest and exclusive preview tour of Bandon Preserve, the resort’s new 13-hole course; an awards luncheon; and tee gifts.
